Common Questions

Quick answers. View all FAQs →

Is TemporaryQR really free?

Yes — 100% free with no account required. We are ad-supported. Premium features may be added in the future, but all current features remain free.

How is my data stored?

QR records are stored in Cloudflare KV, a globally distributed key-value store. Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2-SHA256. IP addresses are one-way hashed immediately and never stored in plaintext. Expired QRs are automatically purged.

Can I edit a QR code after creating it?

Yes — URL-type QR codes support dynamic destination editing. Change where the QR points without reprinting it. Other content types require generating a new QR.

What happens when a QR expires?

Expired QR codes display a friendly expiry message. The underlying data is automatically purged from storage within 24 hours of expiry by Cloudflare KV's built-in TTL mechanism.
