1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TemporaryQR ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors and users of temporaryqr.xyz.

2. Description of Service

TemporaryQR provides a free tool for generating temporary QR codes with optional privacy controls including password protection, expiry dates, scan limits, and time-based availability. The Service is provided "as is" and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Service for lawful personal, commercial, or non-commercial purposes, including but not limited to: event promotions, marketing campaigns, business cards, restaurant menus, Wi-Fi sharing, contact sharing, and educational purposes.

4. Prohibited Use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Distribute malware, phishing links, or malicious content
  • Engage in fraud, deception, or impersonation
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
  • Share content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Harvest or scrape data from the Service by automated means without prior written consent
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the Service
  • Generate QR codes directing to illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

We reserve the right to delete any QR code and block access at our discretion without prior notice.

5. No Account; Management Links

The Service does not require registration. Upon QR creation, you receive a unique management link. You are solely responsible for securing this link. We cannot recover management access if the link is lost.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, incorporated herein by reference.

7. Intellectual Property

The TemporaryQR name, logo, and website design are our intellectual property. You retain all rights to the content you encode in QR codes. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and serve that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEMPORARYQR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. For EU/UK users, mandatory statutory consumer protections under local law are unaffected by these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
